□ Participant Application Terms and Conditions

1. General Provisions

The personal information protection policy of the Seoul YMCA Marathon Secretariat complies with the personal information protection regulations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Personal Information Protection Guidelines of the Ministry of Security and Public Administration.

Personal information provided by marathon participants through personal information protection guidelines may be added/changed in accordance with changes in related laws and government guidelines as well as the addition of new internal services and service expansion. We are taking steps to ensure that participants can easily view information at any time by disclosing what measures are being taken to protect information on the first screen of the website.

2. Items of Personal Information Collected

The Seoul YMCA Marathon Secretariat collects personal information as required and optional items to ensure smooth progress of platform work such as management of competition records and historical records, and to provide various competition-related services.

3. Consent to and Collection Method of Personal Information

We do not collect personal information without individual consent. We have established a procedure for clicking the “Do you agree to the terms and conditions?” button regarding the contents of the personal information handling policy or terms of use. If you click the “Do you agree to the terms and conditions?” button you will be deemed to have consented to the collection of personal information.

The information received when applying for participation includes the participant's name, date of birth, contact information, blood type, gender, name, etc. Please be advised that the information you provide will not be used for any purpose other than the purpose stated in advance.

4. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect personal information only when race participants voluntarily and specifically fill out the information. It specifies the necessary personal information and how it will be used. This is a customized, personalized service that identifies the participant or is intended to provide guidance. In addition, when participating in various events or contests, personal information is collected through questions for service purposes. In this case, the contents of personal information collection, method of use, and personal information protection methods are specified separately from this privacy statement.

In the process of using the service, service use records and device information such as IP address, cookies, visit date and time, and bad use records may be created and collected. Specifically:

  1. In the process of using the service, the information and communications service provider automatically generates and stores (collects) information about the user;
  2. This refers to a case where the unique information of the user's device is collected after being safely converted so that the original value cannot be confirmed.

5. Use for Other Purposes and Provision to Third Parties

Applications made through the Seoul YMCA Marathon will be transferred to the event organizer and secretariat, and the principle is not to share personal information without the consent of other participants. However, due to the need to provide better service, information is not provided for any reason other than information on the Seoul YMCA Marathon and various events.

In that case, it will be used within the scope notified in and will not be used beyond this scope or provided to other people, companies, or institutions.

6. Entrustment of Personal Information Handling

We entrust the minimum amount of personal information as follows for website operation, insurance subscription, record management, etc. and stipulate the necessary matters to ensure that personal information is safely managed at the time of consignment contract in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

7. Viewing Personal Information, Correction, Deletion

Participants can view or correct their registered personal information at any time. You can view and correct personal information through participant information modification management. If you have any other complaints or suggestions, please send your comments to the personal information technology manager by email (kstma0320@naver.com). We will take action immediately upon receipt and notify you of the processing results.

8. Retention Period and Destruction of Personal Information

As a marathon participant, while receiving services provided by the marathon office, the participant's personal information will continue to be retained by the marathon office and used to provide services. If the participant himself or herself requests deletion or cancellation of personal information, or if the purpose for which the personal information was notified in advance has been achieved, the collected personal information will be removed from the DB in a manner that cannot be reproduced after the period specified by the relevant laws. It will be completely deleted and cannot be used for any purpose other than confirming whether participation has been cancelled.

9. Technology and Institutional Policy for Personal Information Protection

Personal information entered for participation fee payment, etc. is transmitted in an encrypted form, and the industry standard SSL (secure socket layer) is used for user convenience. Personal information that users voluntarily provide intentionally or unintentionally through bulletin boards, e-mails, or other Internet services on the site may be collected, processed, and abused by others, and personal information registered in the user search may be collected by others. Please keep in mind that it can be processed and abused. The company is not responsible for personal information disclosed in this way.

The company is not responsible for any leak or infringement of personal information to a third party through methods other than those listed in the above personal information protection policy.

13. Duty to Notify

If there are any additions, deletions, or modifications to the current personal information handling policy, we will notify you through 'Notice' on the website at least 7 days prior to the revision.

Insurance coverage for competitions hosted by the Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association:
(1) Marathon participants are insured under the following conditions with the Seoul branch of the Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association, the competition secretariat as the representative and insurance holder. (Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and Insurance Marathon Death Insurance worth KRW 150 million each)

Special contract subscription amount Remarks:
Marathon injury and death limit: 150 million won
Compensation limit per marathon accident: up to KRW 300 million available to all participants (co-payment of KRW 100,000 per accident)
Up to 100 million won per accident caused by participants (100,000 won copay per accident)

(1) Injury is defined as a sudden and accidental external accident, which occurs when the body is damaged by external shock while participating in a marathon race. Example) If a fracture or trauma occurs due to a fall.
(2) There is no special provision for disease aftereffects. However, if it is diagnosed that more than 80% of the aftereffects remain, disease death insurance benefits will be paid.
(3) Deaths caused by excessive drinking, etc. after completing the race may be subject to accident investigation and compensation will not be provided for matters unrelated to the marathon race.

-We ask that you avoid any actions that may make it difficult for your body to recover after exercise such as drinking alcohol immediately after the competition.

※Currently, due to changes in regulations by the Financial Supervisory Service, the marathon treatment fee that has been in effect so far cannot be applied. (Insurance Business Supervision Regulations Article 7-50 Paragraph 2 Item 2)
※Due to the above reasons, the organizer is unable to pay for injury and disease treatment expenses, so we inform you that participants must individually sign up for insurance or pay medical expenses themselves.
※ For inquiries, please contact (insurance company representative) and we will provide guidance.
※ If you do not sign up for the relevant insurance product yourself within the limited period, the above insurance contents will not be covered under any circumstances.
※ Insurance coverage for various competitions other than those hosted by Seoul YMCA and Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association are covered under the conditions of the competition organizer.

[Consent to Marketing and Advertising Activities]

1. Matters related to the collection and use of personal (credit) information:
▶ Items of personal information collected:
The Seoul YMCA Marathon Competition Secretariat <Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association Seoul Branch> (hereinafter referred to as the Secretariat) collects the following personal information for application for participation in the competition.
- Personal information collection items: name, resident registration number
- Personal information collection method: website (insurance subscription)

▶ Purpose of collection and use of personal information:
The Secretariat uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:
- Provision of information and content for Seoul YMCA Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association and hosted/hosted competitions
- Used for marketing and advertising: delivering advertising information such as events, providing services, and posting advertisements
- Korea Sports Tourism Marketing Association may share participants' personal information with sponsors and partners to provide better services.

▶ Retention and use period of personal information:
In principle, after the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved, the information is destroyed without delay (approximately 3 years).

▶ Right to refuse consent and notice of disadvantages due to refusal of consent:
Contest participants have the right to not consent to the collection and use of the above personal information. However, the above personal information is necessary for the ‘Secretariat’ to operate the competition and participants who do not agree to the collection and use of personal information may be restricted from participating in the competition.

[Consent for Portrait Rights Activities]

I grant the Korea Sports and Tourism Marketing Association the right to use images and other records of my participation in the competition for any purpose including competition-related photos, videos, broadcasts, etc. in relation to promotion and operation without compensation. The above records may be shared with the organizer, sponsors, and partners. (Copyrights related to the promotion and operation of competition photos, videos, broadcasts, etc. belong to the organizer and use for commercial purposes is prohibited. In addition, the right to the portrait belongs to the individual concerned so use is prohibited. We inform you that criminal matters lie with the user.)
